Apartment Review
Don't Do It.

let's start in chronological order. the first thing was management problems. we had major plumbing issues, nothing...i repeat, nothing, was ever done. we ended up fixing it ourselves. second issue, after hurricane gustav, there was part of a tree dangerously hanging over all of the parked cars. many calls, zero responses. finally it fell...on my car and knocked off one of my side mirrors. oh, look, finally someone came to deal with it. the plumbing sucks. the toilet overflows all the time, onto the floor, into the bathtub, into the bathroom sink, you name it. oh, and the water is turned off with no notice. you have no idea when it will be back on. office management is a joke. from signing a lease, receiving keys or just getting a straight answer about everyday things. for example, i know of two people living next door whose unit was repossessed by the bank (it's a condo). the owner informed them at christmas break and that they would be told of any changes to come. but he never called back. months went by then one day they got a phone call saying they had to move out within a couple days. what???!!! i would've gone crazy if someone told me that. ridiculous. so then it gets better, they were told to stop by the office for their new keys and then the lady in the office said she didn't have keys for the mailboxes and that they would have to go to the post office to take care of it themselves. apparently she lost them. oh but wait, it gets better. then the guy/owner changed the move out date on the lease without even informing one of them. isn't that illegal or something? anyway, i could go on and on. nothing gets refurbished when people come and go. peeling wallpaper on the walls, holes in doors, stained carpet. it's such a ripoff. if it weren't for my own lease, i would have been gone long ago. now i'm leaving and will never be back.
