Apartment Review for Campus Crossings Highland - Baton Rouge, LA

I lived here for 2 years, but the only reason I re-signed the lease was because of the location and the fact that I did not really have time to look for other places. My room was right by the pool and almost every night I was kept up all night by people screaming and playing music. Each time, I tried to call and complain to the courtesy officer but he never responded, so I always ended up having to call the BR Police. Also, my car was broken into TWICE while parked in the parking lot (once while it was behind the parking gate) and the office was no help. It is not in a safe neighborhood and this place offers no security whatsoever. If there was a security officer, I certainly never saw him. The "locked" gates were ALWAYS broken (people would kick them in and it took them forever to fix them, so anyone could get into the community), as well as the parking gate which was constantly broken. It was a nice enough community in quality and they kept it up pretty well, but the staff was young (I never saw anyone who looked older than college-age) and pretty unprofessional. I called once to complain about a pool party and blaring music while I was trying to study for finals, and the girl gave me attitude and acted like I was bothering her. Many times I had to find other places to sleep or study, because I could rarely do either at my apartment. If you care at all about safety or living in a quiet community, this place is not for you.
