Apartment Review
Nice landscaping, terrible customer service from s

When we moved to jefferson Place Apts., our rent literally doubled from a similar-style apartment in another city. We expected a beautiful apartment for this kind of money, a beautiful complex, and outstanding customer service. Well the grounds are admittedly beautiful. Tons of huge trees and very nice landscaping. (They really do need to seed/ sod the grass though, it is missing in vast quantities throughout the complex.) It's the first apartment we've lived in that doesn't feel like you're living in a parking lot. It actually looks and feels like a real neighborhood. The interior is only mediocre. Our 3 bdrm 2.5 bath is very spacious, and the architecture inside is quite lovely -- very high celings(16 ft?), nice bannister, large windows, and a HUGE screened veranda. The kitchen has wonderful appliances (side-by-side fridge, flat top stove, quietest dishwasher ever, etc.) The bathrooms though are pretty ugly and disappoinnting. They are completely plain and void of any decorating. They desperately need updating. When we moved in, the paint was peeling on several places on the ceiling. The outside of the building needs cleaning badly. The brick is dirty, and the trim needs to be painted.

So although it is beautiful here, it is way overpriced for being 20 years old. That's right -- 20 years old and charging $1409 in rent.

Our biggest complaint is the customer service. Nobody here does anything, they just don't care. The only rude person is the maintenance supervisor, and I do mean downright, blatantly rude. Everyone else is very pleasant. But they don't do anything. For this kind of outrageous rent I was shocked at the lack of interest in the satisfaction of the residents. We have alreay called the AIMCO (management company)resident relations hotline three times, and they don't care either. The third time we called, they hadn't even documented the first two times we called. No record of it. How convenient.

If they would let us out of our lease and pay our moving expenses (we just used all our savings to move here), I would move out in a heartbeat.
