Apartment Review
Horrible and Rude management
Review Date: 7/14/2007

These apartments are horribly managed. The office is open late hours but is usually staffed with a student worker who is very little help and is often misinformed. I had a problem with neighbors stacking bags and bags of trash on their porch. After reporting this I was given NO help by the management (although they said they would take care of it right away). When I finally moved out, I cleaned the apartment top to bottom. The apartment was left in near perfect condition but of course I'd lived there for a year and cooked on the stove a number of times. Although I cleaned and scrubed the stove and oven, I was deducted nearly 40.00 from my deposit for "dirty drip pans." These pans under the stove's burners weren't "dirty"....just used. My lease did not state that I needed to purchase new drip pans before I moved out...regardless, I was deducted nearly 40.00. Fine...but 2 months later I still haven't received my deposit check. I went to the office but they told me I had to email the manager to tell her I hadn't gotten my check. I did that and the manager, Deborah Storer, emailed me back telling me the check should have been mailed out the prior month. She told me she would find out the check number and the date and address it was mailed out. She said she would get this to me the next day. She didn't email me back the next day so on the 3rd day I emailed her asking for any updates. She never responded and by the 4th day after I contacted her later I had heard nothing. I drove back to the apartment complex to try talking to them again. There was a student worker at the desk who could not answer my question (shock) so he told me to wait a minute. He acutally walked outside to the pool and talked to some women who were smoking and loudly cutting up. I thought they were renters taking advantage of the warm weather and the pool but apparantly this is what the apartment manager was busy doing rather than responding to her rennants emails. The student worker left the ladies to continue their relaxing and came back to tell me my check was in the mail. I still have not received the check. I still have never found out the actual check number or the address it was sent to. I was unable to find this out because Ms. Deborah Storer was unable to snuff out her cigarette and get up out of her lounge chair to come and talk to me. Keep in mind I was a very, very, good tennant...I always paid my rent on time. I was very quiet and I kept my apartment in immaculate condition. These apartments are WAY to overpriced for such horrible treatment. Please consider renting from a place that will treat you better than these guys. They are a HUGE headache.
